Tryout Information Players that are new to the Chicago North MSBL are required to attend the tryout for evalulation unless they are already slotted by a team. Players already playing in the Chicago North MSBL have the option to attend. We strongly encourage existing players to attend the tryouts for a greater chance to be drafted.
Tryout Location
Morton West High School indoor practice facility is located at 2400 Home, Berwyn IL., at the north end of the school in the field house. Please see the Tryout Schedule below for specific times.
Tryout Date
Sunday March 21st
Players should allow time to check-in and warm up. There is a $25 payment required to tryout. Players will be given a tee-shirt with a number and a hat which the player keeps. Players should bring their own equipment.
* If you are NOT trying out for pitching
or catching then you have until
1:35 to check-in.
Pitching: 1:00 - 1:45
Fielding: 1:45 - 2:30
Hitting: 2:30 - 3:15
Draft Information for Managers
Managers of each team or a representative from their team should attend the tryout and evaluate the players in the appropriate age division. If you are managing in multiple divisions, it is strongly recommended that you do bring a representative so that there is no conflict between the actual draft and the on-field evaluations. On Satur March 19th, the managers will be emailed the list of players trying out for their age division.

We are again sharing the facility with the MSL which will conduct its tryout on the same day beginning in the morning. This is not negotiable or subject to change because the rights to the facility belong to the MSL and it is that league giving the CNMSBL permission to use it that day.
It will once again be our goal to institute and enforce various procedures and rules that will promote fairness and provide for the equitable distribution of players. One such rule to be used again is that there will be a deadline by which time existing league members who wish to enter the draft must so declare. This rule will NOT apply to those players moving to another division and are designated as slots.
